Charlotte Academy of Music is proud to be the home of the Charlotte Glee Club! This show choir, under the direction of Alexandra Sims, is comprised of students ages 13-18. Students meet each week for a 90 minute Singing and Choreography class. Emphasis is placed on developing proper vocal technique, sight-reading skills, overall musicianship and stage presence. Students perform throughout the Charlotte area. Our Glee Camps were featured in news segments and in newspaper articles during the summer. The Associated Press visited the Academy and this story ran nation-wide, including ABC News! Read the AP article by Seanna Adcox here >

On May 27, 2011 the Charlotte Glee Club performed in the Carowinds Festival of Music in the Show Choir division. They were awarded a rating of "Excellent" and received critique from a distinguished panel of judges.
