
LEAH MOSS-PARHAM
Oboe
A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Johns Hopkins University, Leah Moss is an avid chamber and orchestral musician. She has performed with the Harrisburg Opera Orchestra, the Maryland Symphony, Mid-Atlantic Symphony and the Annapolis Naval Academy Band. As an active freelance musician Leah has performed with such groups as the Harford Choral Society, Harrisburg Choral Society, Chester County Choral Society, York Oratorial Society, and the Madrigal Singers of Delaware. Leah is the founding member of Arioso Trio and Quintaero Wind Quintet. She has performed chamber concerts on such concert series as the Musical Arts International, the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions Concert Series, Old St. Paul’s Concert Series, First Night Annapolis, State of the Arts Cultural Series at the Department of State, and the International Double Reed Society 2003 Conference. Leah also performed regularly for the Baltimore Composers Forum premiering new works. As a private instructor Leah has held teaching positions at the McDonogh School, The Pennsylvania Academy of Music, Musicians Institute of Baltimore, and The Maryland Conservatory of Music.
Currently she plays with the Ballantyne Chamber Orchestra as second oboist and freelances with the Charlotte Civic Orchestra.
Leah’s students at Charlotte Academy of Music have many performance opportunities as well as the NFMC Music Festival.
